The women of self-help groups sold 3 quintals of organic manure produced by the committee to the forest department at Jurgum Gowthan in the development block garden of Jashpur district on the day of inauguration of Chhattisgarh government’s ambitious Godan Nyaya Yojana. Officials said that organic fertilizers are already being manufactured by women of self-help groups in Jurgum Gowthan. Today, on the occasion of the inauguration of the Godhan Nyaya Yojana, women of self-help groups sold 3 quintals of organic manure produced by the committee to the forest department. The Godhan Nyaya Yojana has been launched with a view to strengthen the rural economy in the state, promote organic farming and make women self-reliant. Organic fertilizer will be prepared by women from self-help groups from cow dung collected in Gothan. The purchase of which will be done by government agencies and societies at the prescribed rate.
