Under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojna Part-2 (PM Garib Kalyan Yojna Part-2), the government is giving 5 kg of free wheat or rice and one kg of chana till November month to those who do not have ration cards. The government has extended the scheme till November 2020, keeping in view the current state of the country and the festivals that are happening in the country in the coming months. Under this, more than 80 crore NFSA of the country will be provided 5 kg of wheat or rice per person and 1 kg of gram per family, in addition to their monthly eligibility. But in the meantime, some cases related to fake ration cards have also come up. On which no one has taken grain for many months. If the ration card is fake, it will not get grain.

According to media reports, there are about 12 thousand families in Katni district who are not taking ration for 3 months. In this case, they are considered to be fake. If this is true, a very big mess will emerge. Perhaps to avoid this mess, it has been made mandatory to link the Aadhaar card to Aadhaar.
This plan will cost so much –Explain that after implementing the lockdown, the central government had announced to give free ration to such beneficiaries who did not have ration cards. Many states and union territories including Delhi started distributing rations free of cost following this order. The scheme was first implemented for three months, but was later extended to November. The PM had said that an additional cost of 90 thousand crores will be incurred in implementing this scheme till November. Ever since this scheme has been started, till November it will cost up to one and a half lakh crores.
The benefit of the scheme, which is also being provided through online platforms – the laborers whose ration card is not available will also get 5 kg ration and 1 kg gram per person till now. The central government believes that 8 crore migrant laborers are benefiting from this. Many of its state governments are extending the benefits of the scheme to the people through online platforms. Delhi government has started a separate online service for this, in which they are getting ration after applying.
