Vivo U20 quick review: Taking an aim at Redmi Note 8

November 22, 2019 15 By Virendra Yadav

Vivo has released some good phones this year, targeting Xiaomi, Samsung, and companies that can be considered part of the same family — Realme and Oppo — under Rs 20,000 segment. Today Vivo is making a splash in the segment around Rs 10,000 with the Vivo U20 that comes into the market at a price of Rs 10,990. And it guns for the likes of Redmi Note 8, Realme 5s, and Realme 3 Pro.

The Vivo U20 comes in two variants: one with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage that costs Rs 10,990 and the other with 6GB RAM with 64GB storage with price of Rs 11,990. A full review of the Vivo U20 is going to be a better way to tell you how it fares against its competitors, but that is going to take a few days. On the Vivo U20 launch day, what we are going to share is its first impressions an or rather a quick and dirty review, based on what I have found the phone after using it for the last few days.

The Vivo U20 is an all-plastic phone with two colour options: Racing Black and Blaze Blue. The review unit that we have received is Blaze Blue and it looks a little flashy, which is good for consumers who are going to flaunt their phone, or will be putting it in a transparent case. Those who don’t like their phones flashy will find the Black variant of the phone more subtle and suitable to their taste.
