Tokyo The first Mars expedition of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has been postponed again due to inclement weather . It was to be launched from Japan .

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) said the UAE ‘s Mangalyaan is expected to be named ‘Amal’ or expected to be flown through Japan’s H-2A rocket from Tanegashima Space Center in southern Japan on Wednesday but postponed it until Friday had gone. Now it was postponed again on Wednesday but till when, the date has not been given. Mitsubishi’s H-2A rocket will take the UAE vehicle into space.

The UAE’s ‘Hope Mars Mission’ said on Twitter that it could now be in late July, while Mitsubishi said it usually announced at least 2 days before the scheduled launch date. Kiji Suzuki, a senior official associated with the project, said earlier this week that sporadic rain is expected in the coming days. In such a situation, this plan may have to be postponed.

Large parts of Japan have been receiving heavy rains for almost a week, causing landslides and flooding and more than 70 people have died. This Mangalyaan is to reach Mars by February 2021, when the UAE will celebrate its 50th anniversary. (Language)
