In the meeting held today, Agri Infra Fund of Rs 1 lakh has also been approved in the field of agriculture. Also, an important decision has been taken regarding Ujjawala Yojna. The meeting took place at the Prime Minister’s residence at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg. The decisions of the meeting will be informed through a press conference shortly from now.
Giving information about the decisions taken in the meeting, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman himself tweeted that the Union Cabinet approved the proposal to take forward the Prime Minister’s Poor Kalyan Anna Yojana while giving relief to crores of poor in the meeting chaired by PM Modi. Has given Under this, 81.9 crore poor people will be given free ration till November.
According to reports, the Union Cabinet has also agreed to carry forward the decision related to the EPF implemented during the lockdown. An update can also come about this. Under this decision implemented from March this year, the government will give EPF contribution of the employees in which 100 employees are present and 90 percent of its staff salary is less than Rs 15,000, which will continue till August. The Finance Minister said that about 73 lakh employees will benefit from this.
Ujjwala scheme also expanded
The central government also gave relief to women from April to June and gave advance subsidy for free cylinders. There is news in the cabinet meeting that women have also been given a big gift and have also expanded the Ujjwala scheme. Under this, women will continue to get cylinders. Oil companies can extend EMI differential plans by the end of the year which was ending in July.
1 lakh crore to Agri Sector
Apart from this, the cabinet has also approved a package of 1 lakh crore for infrastructure in the agri sector. This will benefit the farmers and industries associated with agriculture.
