The services of a Chinese company working as a dedicated freight corridor (DFC) in the railway were terminated on Friday. The decision was taken to ensure that the quality of the company’s work deteriorated. The company was terminated in June last month.
The DFC awarded the contract of signaling and telecom between Kanpur to Deendayal Upadhyay Nagar (Mughalsarai) in 2016 to Beijing National Railway Research and Design Institute of Signal and Communications Group Limited Company. On 18 June, the company was stopped by issuing notice to the company. The company did not show any special interest in the work in four years. In four years only 20 percent of the work could be done. After finishing the work, DFC was also given notice of termination of services on July 3, for non-response within 14 days. This decision has been taken due to no response from the company so far. The company was also served 10 times in December last year due to poor quality of its work.
DFC officials say that the decision to terminate the service has been taken due to poor quality of work of the company and non-response after repeated questions from their side.
