The Indian technology giant Zoho is making a bold move into the digital payments arena with the debut of its innovative POS devices. Showcased at the Global Fintech Fest 2025, Zoho’s new hardware is set to compete directly with market leaders such as PhonePe and Paytm.
Zoho’s expanded offering includes an all-in-one POS system, a sophisticated smart POS device featuring a touch screen and integrated printer, and a simple static QR code with an audible alert system. These products are designed to cater to the diverse needs of Indian businesses seeking efficient payment solutions.
Leveraging its established presence in business software, Zoho is integrating its new POS terminals with its comprehensive suite of tools. This means merchants can seamlessly manage their operations, from accepting payments to overseeing accounting, all through a single, unified interface. The CEO of Zoho Payments highlighted this as a natural progression, building on the company’s payment solution launched in 2024.
Connectivity options for the Zoho POS devices are extensive, supporting 4G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth, ensuring broad compatibility. The devices facilitate transactions via chip cards, UPI, and QR codes. A centralized dashboard offers merchants a clear overview of all payment and billing activities, while the company’s PCI DSS certification underscores a strong commitment to security.
