The word game Quordle presents the challenge of solving four puzzles at the same time. Players must solve four Wordle-style puzzles in just nine attempts. In each round, a five-letter word is guessed. Colored letters then reveal the accuracy of the guess: green for correct placement, yellow for the right letter in the wrong position, and gray for letters not in the word. A practice mode offers unlimited games; daily puzzles keep players engaged. Quordle is a more complex version of Wordle. Instead of one word, four five-letter words must be guessed within nine tries. Hints and answers are available for the August 24, 2025, Quordle to help players overcome the challenge.
For help, Hint 1 provides the first letters of each word: ‘R’, ‘G’, ‘A’, and ‘O’. Hint 2 specifies the vowel count in each word. Hint 3 indicates repeating letters. Hint 4 offers word meanings: A wanderer, something beyond saving, a playful act, and to surpass others. The solutions for the day are ROVER, GONER, ANTIC, and OUTDO. Instructions are provided for new players, detailing the use of color-coded feedback. The game was created by Freddie Meyer in 2022 and inspired by Wordle and Dordle. Merriam-Webster acquired Quordle in January 2023. David Mah, an engineer, created the initial prototype that was modified by Freddie Meyer. Quordle gained significant traction after its launch in February 2022 and was later acquired by Merriam-Webster, which praised it.
