The OnePlus 15, equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, has been put through preliminary benchmark tests. The device’s multi-core performance reached 12,352, exceeding that of contemporary Android flagships, as well as the Apple A19 and A19 Pro chips. The single-core score of 3,836, however, was slightly lower than the A19 and A19 Pro. GPU testing using the 3DMark Steel Nomad Light benchmark resulted in a score of 3,143, surpassing the performance of the Galaxy A19 and A19 Pro, but underperforming compared to the Dimensity 9500. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, built on TSMC’s 3nm process, promises substantial performance improvements. The phone is anticipated to feature a 165Hz display and ColorOS 16 based on Android 16. Previous instances of the phone being shown to the public showcase a design similar to the OnePlus 13S, including its back panel and camera housing.
