Chris Ripley, CEO of Sinclair, stated that India’s expertise in semiconductor design is unparalleled, positioning the nation ahead of others in the field. His remarks came in advance of SEMICON India 2025, a major event focused on semiconductors, commencing on Tuesday. Ripley noted that India is at the forefront of wireless technology and semiconductor design, fostering new product development. Sinclair, a prominent US media company, has made considerable investments in India for producing advanced wireless technologies. The investments include the development of a tablet powered by an India-designed D2M chip, demonstrating India’s rapid advancements in the sector. The Prime Minister is scheduled to inaugurate the three-day event in New Delhi’s Yashobhumi, with the objective of boosting India’s semiconductor ecosystem. The event will include a roundtable discussion between the Prime Minister and several CEOs. The event will have participation from 48 countries and over 2500 representatives.
