The trend of smartphones with substantial battery capacities continues, with Redmi entering the competition. The company is reportedly working on a new phone equipped with a battery ranging from 8500mAh to 9000mAh. This advancement leverages silicon-carbon technology, allowing for larger batteries without increasing the device’s overall size. The manufacturer intends to utilize its proprietary technology, potentially incorporating an improved silicon-carbon composite. The aim is to deliver high-capacity power while keeping the phone’s thickness below 8.5mm, which doesn’t affect the battery’s lifespan. This could make it the highest-capacity battery phone in Redmi’s lineup. Furthermore, Redmi is also gearing up to release the Redmi Turbo 5 Pro with an 8000mAh battery, succeeding the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, which has a 7550mAh battery.
