Concerns about battery life are driving smartphone manufacturers to incorporate larger batteries. After the prevalence of 7000mAh batteries, the focus is shifting to phones with up to 15000mAh batteries. Realme has issued a teaser for a new smartphone featuring a 15000mAh battery, as indicated on the device’s rear panel.
The company’s claims indicate that the phone will be capable of providing up to 50 hours of continuous video streaming on a single charge. Despite the larger battery, the phone design will not be bulky or thick.
It is expected to utilize silicon anode technology, which was introduced in early 2025. While this is a concept device, and its availability may be awaited, the company is expected to release more details on August 27th. There is speculation that Realme might unveil a phone with a 10000mAh battery.
In May, Realme unveiled a phone featuring an ultra-high silicon anode battery with a 10000mAh capacity. This phone may also include 320W fast charging capabilities. It is expected to feature a semi-transparent back panel and a thickness of 8.5mm, weighing approximately 200 grams. The 320W supersonic charging technology was unveiled last year, with claims of fully charging a phone in 4 minutes and 30 seconds. The company stated that the phone could charge to 26% in one minute and 50% in two minutes.
