Meta has introduced the Oakley Meta HSTN smart glasses, a partnership with Oakley, priced at $499. The limited edition model will be available from July 11, with additional designs planned for the summer, starting from $399. Similar to the Meta Ray-Ban, these glasses feature a built-in front-facing camera, open-ear speakers, and microphones. Designed with athletes in mind, the glasses offer an IPX4 waterproof rating and up to 8 hours of battery life. The included charging case provides up to 48 hours of use. Notable features encompass 3K video recording, improved voice control through Meta AI, and real-time visual recognition. The glasses allow users to listen to music, make calls, and engage with Meta AI hands-free. The upgraded sensors empower Meta AI to describe the environment and provide language translation. They will be available in five frame/lens combinations, with prescription lens options, and the special edition version features gold accents and Oakley’s PRIZM gold lenses. The smart glasses are planned to be available in more than 15 countries.
