JioHotstar is preparing to introduce a suite of AI-driven features, promising to reshape the streaming landscape. These upgrades encompass a voice assistant, real-time dubbing, and immersive viewing options, offering a more engaging and personalized entertainment experience for users of movies, shows and live sports.
Akash Ambani, Chairman of Jio, announced Riya, a smart voice assistant that aims to simplify content search. Riya is designed to understand natural language commands, enabling users to swiftly find specific content within the platform’s extensive library.
Voice Print, a real-time voice cloning service, is another significant advancement. Employing AI for lip-sync and voice replication, it allows content to be dubbed into local languages while retaining the original actor’s voice and expressions.
Sports enthusiasts will benefit from JioLenZ, a feature providing multi-angle viewing based on device orientation, along with MaxView 3.0. MaxView 3.0 provides live scorecards, instant highlights, multi-camera angles, and multi-language commentary, all tailored for the user’s phone.
The official launch date is yet to be announced. If these enhancements deliver as promised, JioHotstar could set a new standard for immersive sports and entertainment viewing.
