The iPhone 17 Pro Max, priced at Rs 1,49,900 in India, is leading consumers to seek more affordable options. One such option is Dubai, where the phone is available for 5,099 AED, equivalent to approximately Rs 1,22,500.
This represents a price difference of around Rs 27,400. However, when the cost of a round trip from Delhi to Dubai (approximately Rs 22,619) is included, the actual savings diminish to around Rs 4,800.
Price comparisons reveal further discrepancies across different countries. Some reports indicate that the iPhone 17 Pro Max can be as much as Rs 34,300 cheaper in certain markets. Moreover, countries such as Vietnam, Thailand, and Japan offer lower prices, while the American variant’s cost varies depending on regional tax regulations.
Therefore, despite the price difference, a trip to Dubai solely to buy the iPhone 17 may not be a financially sound decision.
