iQOO is gearing up to launch the iQOO 15, its latest flagship smartphone, in India, and has confirmed several key features. The device will support wireless charging, a notable addition compared to the iQOO 13. It will also incorporate a larger battery and is expected to offer significant performance enhancements. The highlight of the iQOO 15 will be the inclusion of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, touted as the fastest processor currently available globally, setting it apart from any other phone launched in India.
The company confirmed via a social media post on Weibo that the iQOO 15 would support wireless charging and would use a new seven-cell “Blue Ocean” battery design coupled with the Global Direct Drive Power Supply 2.0 technology. This technological advancement is designed to extend usage during gaming, video playback, and navigation, which in turn enhances battery life. While the iQOO 13 featured a 6,000mAh battery and 120W fast charging, it lacked wireless charging.
According to available leaks, the iQOO 15 will have a 6.85-inch Samsung display with a 2K resolution (3168×1440 pixels) and a 144Hz refresh rate. The phone is also expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor alongside iQOO’s own Q3 chip, optimized for superior performance and gaming.
On the camera front, the iQOO 15 is predicted to include a 50MP primary sensor with a 1/1.5-inch size and possibly a 50MP periscope telephoto lens. This camera setup aims to enhance low-light photography and zoom capabilities.
Tipster Chaitanya (@ChaitanyaOnTech) suggests the iQOO 15 could be priced between 60,000 and 65,000 rupees in India. This would represent a price increase of approximately 5,000 rupees over the launch price of the iQOO 13 (12GB RAM + 256GB storage), which was 54,999 rupees. The iQOO 13 was available in Legend and Nardo Grey color options, and more color variants for the iQOO 15 are expected soon.
