With Apple’s ‘Awe Dropping’ event rapidly approaching, attention is turning to the unveiling of the iPhone 17 series. The launch is expected to result in the discontinuation of several older Apple devices. The event on September 9 is anticipated to feature the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and iPhone 17 Air, alongside new Apple Watch models and an updated AirPods Pro. This annual event signifies the transition as Apple replaces older models. Specifically, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models are rumored to be discontinued following the release of the iPhone 17 series. The previous year’s flagship models may also be removed from the official lineup once the new devices are available. While these phones might still be found on other platforms, availability could be limited. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are also projected to be phased out. Significant discounts on older models may be offered during the holiday season. On the Apple Watch front, the current Watch Series is likely to be replaced. The Watch Series 10 is expected to be discontinued with the introduction of the Watch Series 11. Moreover, the Watch Ultra 2, released two years ago, could be discontinued after the Watch Ultra 3 launch on September 9. The affordable Watch SE model will likely be replaced by the newer Watch SE 2.
