The iPhone 16 series is set to receive a significant upgrade with the upcoming iOS 26, specifically in the realm of wireless charging. The new iPhones, including the iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, and 16 Pro Max, will benefit from Qi 2.2 wireless charging support. This marks a notable improvement, as previous iPhone models were restricted to 25W wireless charging only with Apple’s MagSafe Charger. Third-party Qi chargers were limited to 15W.
The new update will eliminate these limitations, allowing the iPhone 16 series to charge at 25W speeds using any Qi 2.2 charger.
