The government-owned telecom operator BSNL is set to introduce 5G services in the near future. Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia confirmed this at the Kautilya Economic Enclave 2025, revealing plans to upgrade the current 4G infrastructure to support 5G. This upgrade is anticipated to take between six to eight months. With the implementation of 5G, BSNL aims to offer high-speed internet at competitive prices across India. India has established its own 4G standard, and the nation is witnessing rapid advancements in technology and manufacturing. The India Mobile Congress 2025, scheduled from October 8th to 11th, will showcase innovations in quantum computing, AI, and other technologies, with participation from 150 countries and over 1500 exhibitors.
