OpenAI has released its new, advanced AI model, GPT-5. The company asserts that it is not only faster and more precise than its predecessors but also able to provide secure and responsible responses, even to sensitive inquiries. A key advantage is that all seven significant features of GPT-5 are made available to ChatGPT free users.
1. Nano and Mini Versions: GPT-5 will automatically select the most appropriate model for your prompts. Alongside this, two lightweight and cost-effective versions, GPT-5 Mini and GPT-5 Nano, have been introduced. Free and Plus users will be able to use these models when they exceed their usage limits.
2. Your Personal Coder: In a live demonstration, the company showcased GPT-5 creating an interactive web app in minutes from a simple text prompt, simplifying coding processes.
3. Deep Research and Advanced Reasoning: GPT-5 offers free users access to an advanced reasoning model, capable of gathering large amounts of data and conducting analysis at a PhD level.
4. New Personality Option: Users can now engage with GPT-5 in preferred styles, with four pre-set personalities: Cynic, Robot, Listener, and a new option to choose from.
5. Enhanced Voice Mode: GPT-5 adapts its speech style based on your tone and instructions, thereby enhancing the naturalness and effectiveness of voice interactions.
6. Gmail and Google Calendar Integration: This feature links GPT-5 directly with your Gmail and Google Calendar, enabling email reading, scheduling, and task management. This feature will be initially available to Pro users next week.
7. Chat Customization: The ability to set different color themes for various chats is now available, improving chat organization and recognition.
