Samsung has introduced the Galaxy A17 5G in European markets, showcasing features like the Exynos 1330 chipset, a 6.7-inch 90Hz Super AMOLED screen, and a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging. The device is equipped with a 50-megapixel dual rear camera system and a 13-megapixel selfie camera. It is anticipated to launch in India soon. The price of the Samsung Galaxy A17 5G is set at GBP 199 (around ₹23,500) for its single available configuration.
The price is EUR 239 (about ₹24,000) in select European regions. The phone is currently available for purchase in the UK and other European markets via Samsung’s official website, and comes in Black, Blue, and Grey color options.
The dual-SIM Samsung Galaxy A17 5G features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) Infinity-U Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. Inside, it has an octa-core Exynos 1330 SoC, with options of up to 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The phone comes with Android 15-based One UI 7.
The camera setup includes a 50-megapixel primary camera with autofocus and a 2-megapixel macro sensor, along with a 13-megapixel front-facing camera.
The device is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 25W wired fast charging. It has an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance, and features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for added security. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, and USB Type-C. Considering the competition in the market, where similar priced devices feature 6000mAh batteries and 120Hz refresh rate displays, the A17 might face challenges.
