Sukma: Public Service Guarantee: People’s work done within the stipulated time limit: Not a single application pending after the deadline

State government’s ambitious scheme of providing civil services for fixed services to the people in a fixed time period, the applications of Public Service Guarantee are being disposed of in Sukma district within the stipulated time. Under this, 874 applications have been disposed of in May 2020 and not a single application is pending after the deadline. Similarly, so far 1249 applications have been disposed of within the time limit in the month of June.
             Keeping in view the seriousness of the scheme by Collector Chandan Kumar, all the department heads including employees of Public Service Centers have been directed to dispose of the applications received under the Public Service Guarantee Act within the stipulated time frame. He has given instructions to ensure that the applications being submitted by the applicants are thoroughly investigated and the deficiency found to be completed for the minimum cancellation and withdrawal of the applications.
            According to information received from the e-District Manager, 67,359 applications have been received in Sukma District. Maximum 31,293 applications were received from Tehsil Office Chhindgarh. Out of the total applications received so far, 60,350 applications have been approved. The remainder were withdrawn and revoked applications. An application is rejected or returned due to lack of eligibility, lack of documents or any other mistake. At present, only 98 applications are pending in the district which is within the time limit and not a single application is pending after the deadline.
              It is noteworthy that the Chhattisgarh Public Service Guarantee Act 2011 has been implemented to provide benefits of essential services to the citizens at the appointed time. Under this Act, the responsibility of the officers concerned has been fixed for providing public service. Along with this, provision has been made for payment of compensation to the applicant by the officer responsible for each delayed day for not taking action on public service at the appointed time. It is noteworthy that under the Public Service Guarantee Act, it is a top priority of the state government to provide benefits to citizens through various schemes and services within the time limit.
These services are under the purview of Public Service Guarantee-
Presently SC, ST and OBC certificate, income certificate, original residence certificate, copy from Bhuyan, birth registration and certificate, widow pension scheme, death registration and certificate, tap connection, shop and establishment registration Various services including Certification, Birth and Death Certificate Reforms, Marriage Certificate Reforms, Asset Renovations, Municipality Area and various Revenue Services are included under Public Service Guarantee Act. Applications can be made through Public Service Centers to avail these services. Also, by logging in to e-district dot cgstate dot gov dot, necessary information and application can be made.
