J&K admin withdraws order on cancelling Amarnath Yatra due to COVID-19

Stick Mubarak is a centuries-old tradition. According to this, the rituals of ‘Bhoomi-Pujan’, ‘Navagraha Pujan’ and ‘Flag hoisting’ are completed. This stick-on occurs on the occasion of the commencement of the journey of Swami Amarnath. This year, keeping in mind the corona epidemic, there will be limited and symbolic worship.

59-days Amarnath yatra concludes as Chhari Mubarak reaches cave ...

On the other hand, devotees who were unable to visit Amarnath due to Corona infection will now be able to visit DD National. Aarti of Baba Barfani will be broadcast live from Sunday. Pooja on Vyas Purnima is proposed by Deputy Governor GC Murmu. The 15-member team of Doordarshan reached the holy cave on Friday in connection with the broadcast. From 5 July (Vyas Purnima) to 3 August (Rakshabandhan), the Aarti of both times will be telecast live on Doordarshan. However, the yatra is proposed from 21 July.

The nature of the yatra and the date of the yatra will be decided in the Shrine Board meeting to be held in the next two-three days. Passengers arriving by road will have to be quarantined in Kathua. There will also be a corona test of all passengers. Preparations have also been started at Bhagwati Nagar Base Camp.
