Yuki Bhambri, India’s prominent professional tennis player, is celebrated for his accomplishments in doubles. Born in 1992, Bhambri began his professional career in 2008. He is a right-handed player known for his two-handed backhand. His achievements include winning the Australian Open Junior Championship in 2009, the first Indian player to do so. He also earned a silver and bronze medal at the 2010 Youth Olympic Games and bronze medals at the 2014 Asian Games in both singles and doubles. Bhambri’s career-best ranking was No. 26, achieved in March 2025.
In the 2025 US Open, Bhambri and his partner, Michael Venus of New Zealand, advanced to the men’s doubles semifinals. They defeated the 11th-seeded team of Nikola Mektic and Rajeev Ram with a 6-3, 7-6, 6-3 victory on Court 17. Bhambri currently holds a world ranking of No. 32 and leads the men’s doubles rankings in India. The upcoming semi-final match will feature Bhambri against Britain’s Neal Skupski and Joe Sailsbury. Last year, Bhambri reached the pre-quarterfinals at the US Open with Albano Olivetti of France.
