He hammered a blistering century in just 45 balls, achieving a strike rate of 225 and powering his team to a commanding victory. His innings comprised 8 sixes and 7 fours. Having lost four wickets early on, with the score at 38, the Meerut Mavericks were rescued by captain Rinku Singh, who then led them to a six-wicket victory with seven balls to spare. This performance demonstrated Singh’s remarkable form leading up to the Asia Cup.
The ninth match of the UP T20 League was played between Gorakhpur Lions and Meerut Mavericks. Batting first, Gorakhpur Lions scored 167 runs, losing 9 wickets in their 20 overs. Chasing a target of 168, Meerut Mavericks faced initial struggles, losing four wickets quickly. But Rinku Singh, in partnership with Sahib Yuvraj, forged an unbroken 130-run stand off just 65 balls.
