In a dominant display of bowling, the Outer Delhi Warriors defeated Purani Dilli 6 by 82 runs in the sixth match of the Delhi Premier League (DPL) Season 2 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. The Warriors, after scoring 149, set about dismantling Purani Dilli 6’s batting order. Suyash Sharma, a young leg-spinner, was instrumental in the early innings, removing key batsmen and triggering a collapse during the powerplay. Samarth Seth, Vansh Bedi, and Pranav Pant were among his early scalps. The Purani Dilli 6 team found themselves in deep trouble, with the score at 31/4 after the first six overs. The middle order then collapsed. A disastrous mix-up led to a run-out, and Shaurya Malik took two wickets in successive balls. Suyash Sharma claimed his fourth wicket, and Harsh Tyagi added to the pressure, eventually leading to Purani Dilli 6 being bowled out for 66 in 14.3 overs. Earlier in the match, after winning the toss, the Outer Delhi Warriors began strongly with Priyansh Arya and Sanat Sangwan. However, their innings faltered after an initial good start. Udhav Mohan of Purani Dilli 6 took five wickets, but Siddhant Sharma and Harsh Tyagi contributed vital runs, allowing the Warriors to reach a total of 148. The exceptional bowling performance of Suyash Sharma and Shaurya Malik ensured Outer Delhi’s score was more than enough to secure the win.
