Hasin Jahan, the wife of Indian cricketer Mohammad Shami, has stirred controversy with a recent Instagram video featuring a threatening tone. The video, shared on her social media, has ignited a debate among fans. The video’s content and the accompanying caption have left many speculating about its intended target, although Jahan has not explicitly named anyone. The ambiguity, however, hasn’t stopped Shami’s fans from reacting.
The video shows Jahan saying, “Don’t mistake me for just any girl,” implying she is not one to be trifled with. She contrasts her approach to others, claiming that while some use their physical presence, she uses her words. The caption further suggests that the accused party buys media to speak on their behalf and portrays themselves as the victim, while Jahan maintains that the accused asks for protection and portrays themselves as helpless.
This has caused an uproar among Mohammad Shami’s fans, who have flooded the comments section with critical remarks. Some accuse Jahan of being the source of conflict in their relationship, while others question her financial dependence on Shami. One commenter accused her of living off Shami’s money.
Under a Calcutta High Court order, Hasin Jahan receives 4 lakh rupees monthly from Mohammad Shami. This amount is divided, with 2.5 lakh rupees for their daughter and 1.5 lakh rupees for Jahan’s personal expenses. Despite this, Jahan has previously expressed that this sum is insufficient, especially considering the rising cost of living, and stated her initial demand was 10 lakh rupees.
