Tyagi, a right-arm fast bowler, clocked speeds of 150 KMPH and took three wickets. He further intensified the pressure by taking two wickets in a single over, shifting the momentum of the match. His exceptional performance, coupled with a run-out, helped Meerut secure a place in the final, where they will compete against Kashi Rudras, without the presence of Rinku Singh.
Lucknow Falcons started their chase of 144 runs strongly, accumulating 42 runs in the first six overs. Tyagi then made a breakthrough, dismissing Lucknow’s opener, Abhay Pratap Singh. The game changed dramatically when Tyagi took two wickets in a single over, bowling at speeds of 150 KMPH.
Tyagi’s final figures were 3 wickets for 29 runs in 4 overs. He also bowled an impressive 9 dot balls. His outstanding performance helped Meerut win the crucial match by 19 runs, earning them a spot in the final. In this match, Madhav Kaushik captained Meerut in place of Rinku Singh, who is currently with the Indian team in Dubai for the Asia Cup. Meerut, after winning the toss and electing to bat, faced an early setback when Bhuvneshwar Kumar struck in the first over.
