Indian cricket sensation Smriti Mandhana has once again asserted her dominance in women’s ODI cricket, holding firm to her No. 1 position in the latest ICC Women’s ODI Batting Rankings. Her recent performances in the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup, including a brilliant century against New Zealand and a crucial unbeaten 34 against Bangladesh, have further boosted her standing. Mandhana now boasts a career-high rating of 828, creating a substantial gap between herself and the rest of the field. Ashleigh Gardner of Australia is her nearest rival, securing the second position with 731 rating points after an outstanding century. This impressive run for Mandhana follows her recognition as the ICC Women’s Player of the Month for September 2025. The latest rankings also highlight the rise of other talented players. South African skipper Laura Wolvaardt has advanced to third place in the batting charts. Meanwhile, England’s Amy Jones has entered the top ten, climbing to ninth, and Annabel Sutherland has impressively surged to 16th. India’s Pratika Rawal, unfortunately facing injury, has entered the top 30. The bowling arena sees Sophie Ecclestone maintaining her lead, challenged by Alana King, who has climbed significantly after a stellar bowling performance. Pakistan’s Nashra Sundhu and South Africa’s Nonkululeko Mlaba are now joint 10th. In the all-rounder category, Ashleigh Gardner continues to lead, with Marizanne Kapp now in second place, overtaking Hayley Matthews.
