In a series of updates to their white-ball squads facing India, Cricket Australia has made several notable changes. Ahead of the decisive third ODI, New South Wales all-rounder Jack Edwards has been included. Marnus Labuschagne has been released from the ODI squad to prioritize his Sheffield Shield duties with Queensland against NSW. Matthew Kuhnemann also rejoins the ODI team for the final match, having been unavailable for the second ODI due to Adam Zampa’s return.
The T20I series also experiences significant player movements. Josh Hazlewood and Sean Abbott will be unavailable for the latter parts of the T20I series as they are slated to play in a crucial round four Sheffield Shield game. Hazlewood is set to play the first two T20Is, and Abbott will depart the squad after the third T20I. However, all-rounder Glenn Maxwell is making a comeback for the final three T20Is, and Ben Dwarshuis is also set to feature in the last two matches of the T20I series.
