Sri Lanka successfully chased down the 170-run target, reaching it in 18.4 overs while losing 4 wickets. Mendis’s unbeaten 74 runs, including 10 boundaries, were pivotal. Kusal Perera scored 28 runs, hitting 3 fours, while Kamindu Mendis added 26 runs with 2 sixes. For Afghanistan, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Azmatullah Omarzai, Mohammad Nabi and Noor Ahmad picked up a wicket each. Afghanistan had earlier scored 169 runs in their 20 overs, thanks to Mohammad Nabi.
