The World Para Athletics Championship saw exceptional performances from Indian athletes, with Sumit Antil leading the charge by winning his third consecutive gold medal in the F64 category for the javelin throw. His winning throw was 71.37 meters. Antil’s accolades include gold medals from the 2023 and 2024 World Championships, as well as Paralympic gold medals from the 2021 Tokyo and 2024 Paris Games. Furthermore, he holds the title of reigning Asian Paralympic Games champion. Sandip Sargar also secured a gold medal for India in the Men’s javelin throw F44 category, with a throw of 62.82 meters. In the same category, Sandeep Chaudhary clinched a silver medal with a throw of 62.67 meters. Pradeep Kumar of India also participated, achieving a best throw of 42.72m.
