    India created history in Paris Paralympics: Ended the campaign with record medals, see the full list of medal winners

    Paris Paralympic 2024: Paris Paralympic 2024, which started on 28 August in Paris, the capital of France, has reached its conclusion. Today, on the 10th and last day of the Paralympics, Pooja Ojha could not qualify for the Women’s KL1 200m final in canoe sprint. With this, India’s campaign in the Paris Paralympics ended. In terms of the performance of Indian para athletes, this Paralympics proved to be historic for India, this time India won a record 29 medals. This included 7 gold, 9 silver and 13 bronze medals.

    Let us tell you that this time in the Paralympics, Indian para athletes performed so brilliantly that previous records have been broken, before this India’s best performance in the Paralympic Games was in Tokyo. India won a total of 19 medals in Tokyo Paralympics 2020, including 5 gold, 8 silver and 6 bronze medals. At the same time, in the 11 editions before this, India had won only 12 medals. In such a situation, it can be clearly seen that a lot of improvement and change has been seen since the last two editions.

    India stood 18th in the medal tally

    Talking about the medal tally of Paris Paralympics, this time India stood at 18th position with 29 medals. However, despite this, India left behind countries like Switzerland, South Korea, Belgium and Argentina in the medal tally. In Tokyo Paralympics, India had secured 24th position with 19 medals.

    If we take a look at the medal tally on the 10th day of the Paralympic Games 2024, China is in the first place. They have a total of 219 medals. Which includes 94 gold, 75 silver and 50 bronze. Great Britain is in second place with 124 medals. They have won 49 gold, 44 silver and 31 bronze medals. America is in third place with 104 medals. Which has won 36 gold, 41 silver and 27 bronze medals.
