The Asia Cup final between India and Pakistan concluded with India’s victory, but the post-match ceremony was overshadowed by a controversy. Mohsin Naqvi, the chairman of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), was at the center of the issue. After India’s win, the team, led by Suryakumar Yadav, refused to accept the trophy from Naqvi, resulting in a prolonged standoff. The trophy was not officially presented to India, and Naqvi was subsequently seen leaving the stadium with it. The trophy is currently in the possession of the ACC. Harbhajan Singh, expressing his views, criticized Naqvi’s actions, stating that the incident was not significant and questioned Naqvi’s right to determine the trophy’s fate. Singh stated that India had rightfully won the tournament and would ultimately receive the trophy. He also pointed out the irrelevance of the drama.
