The World Athletics Championships 2025 final is eagerly awaited, with arch-rivals Neeraj Chopra and Arshad Nadeem set to compete. The men’s javelin throw final in Tokyo is scheduled for Thursday, promising an exciting competition.
This event will showcase the India-Pakistan rivalry, this time in an athletics stadium, with the two leading javelin throwers vying for gold.
Neeraj Chopra, the Tokyo 2020 Olympic gold medalist and the 2023 World Champion, faces Arshad Nadeem. Nadeem became Pakistan’s first Olympic champion in athletics at Paris 2024. Both athletes will now compete in Tokyo, a location significant for Chopra, with Nadeem seeking to claim the world title as the current Olympic champion.

Sachin Yadav will join Neeraj in the final, adding to India’s representation after steadily progressing through the rounds and securing his spot. He finished 10th overall.
Twelve of the world’s best athletes will compete for gold in Tokyo.
