Mahendra Singh Dhoni has expanded his business interests with the launch of ‘7Padel’ in Chennai, a sports venture focused on paddle tennis and pickleball. The launch event saw Dhoni joined by cricketer Ruturaj Gaikwad and musician Anirudh Ravichander. The 7Padel facility is spread over 20,000 square feet and includes three paddle tennis courts and a pickleball court. Additional amenities include a swimming pool, gym, recovery room, and a cafe. The center is designed to be accessible to everyone, from professional athletes to casual sports fans. Dhoni emphasized his deep connection with Chennai, citing his longstanding relationship with the Chennai Super Kings and the city’s passionate fanbase. During the launch, Dhoni highlighted that he sees 7Padel as a gesture of appreciation to Chennai. Dhoni has stated that Chennai has always held a special place in his heart and that he has received much support there. He envisions 7Padel to be a welcoming space for athletes, families, and fitness lovers. Dhoni has also been seen playing pickleball on several occasions. A video of him playing pickleball with Rishabh Pant on a floating court in Dubai went viral. Pickleball is quickly gaining popularity in the sports world.
