Neeraj Chopra, the reigning world champion and a two-time Olympic medalist, has advanced to the men’s javelin throw final at the World Championships. Chopra showcased his talent by clearing the automatic qualification distance of 84.50 meters with his initial throw. His opening throw of 84.85 meters in Group A of the qualifiers guaranteed his place in the final.
Chopra took to the field first and secured his position in the final with this single throw. He chose not to make any more attempts. The competition regulations state that athletes meeting or exceeding the 84.50m mark, or ranking in the top 12, qualify for the final round, which will be held on Thursday.
