The BCCI has implemented revisions to its employee allowance structure, clarifying travel policies and financial compensation. The changes, effective after a simplification of domestic travel policies, replace previous allowances that were in place. According to the previous guidelines, employees received Rs 15,000 daily for short trips (up to four days) and Rs 10,000 for extended travel linked to events like the IPL, WPL, and ICC programs hosted in India. The single-visit conveyance allowance was set at Rs 7,500. With the new policy in place, the casual allowance has been eliminated. Now, employees are eligible for Rs 10,000 per day while traveling. For ICC tournaments, which can last up to a month, and the IPL, which spans over two months, the daily allowance, excluding tax, is approximately Rs 6,500. An employee working the full 70-day IPL season can claim a daily allowance of Rs 10,000, up to a maximum of Rs 7 lakh. The claimable amount is adjusted based on the duration of travel. Furthermore, BCCI employees receive $300 per day on foreign trips. The President, Secretary, Treasurer, Vice-President, and Joint Secretary, in their honorary roles, are entitled to $1000 per day for foreign tours. For domestic engagements, they are provided with Rs 40,000 per day for one-day meetings and Rs 30,000 per day for multi-day domestic work trips.
