The BCCI has updated its employee allowance structure, streamlining the domestic travel policy and introducing new financial guidelines. The new policy, implemented this year, affects allowances for travel related to the IPL, WPL, and ICC events held in India. Under the revised rules, employees are granted ₹15,000 per day for short trips (up to four days) and ₹10,000 per day for travel during the IPL, WPL, and ICC events. The single visit contingency allowance in conveyance was ₹7,500. The casual allowance has been eliminated. The new policy provides a daily allowance of ₹10,000 during travel, while the source states that the daily allowance, excluding tax, is ₹6,500. For the 70-day IPL, employees are entitled to a daily allowance of ₹10,000, with a maximum claim of ₹7 lakh. The claim amount is adjusted according to travel, a 60% allowance if an employee travels less, and no allowance if they travel less than 40% of the IPL period. Employees receive $300 per day on foreign trips. Furthermore, honorary officials like the President, Secretary, Treasurer, Vice-President, and Joint Secretary are entitled to $1,000 per day on foreign tours. In addition, they receive ₹40,000 for one-day meetings in India and ₹30,000 per day for domestic multi-day work trips.
