Pakistan extended their winning streak with a convincing 31-run victory against the UAE in a T20I match characterized by high scores. Pakistan’s innings produced a robust total of 207 runs, positioning it as their third-highest T20I score. Saim Ayub’s impressive performance provided the initial impetus. The left-handed batter showcased his skills against UAE’s bowlers, scoring 69 runs from 38 balls.
After Ayub’s departure, Hasan Nawaz took charge, swiftly scoring 38 runs in just 22 balls. Although wickets were lost periodically, Pakistan’s lower-order batsmen, including Mohammad Nawaz (25), Faheem Ashraf (16), and Hasan Ali (9), contributed to a strong finish by adding 45 runs in the concluding overs.
UAE’s batting performance was hampered from the start, with their captain Muhammad Waseem being the primary scorer with 33 runs. The remaining batsmen struggled to maintain their wickets, as Pakistan’s spin bowlers, Nawaz and Ayub, demonstrated their dominance. Consequently, UAE was restricted to a score of 176.
Asif Khan of UAE was the team’s standout performer, scoring 77 runs from 35 balls, thereby enhancing UAE’s net run rate.
