He acknowledged the franchises, the IPL, and the BCCI for their contributions to his career. During IPL 2025, Ashwin played for Chennai Super Kings (CSK). He was signed by the team for INR 9.75 crore. His performance included taking 7 wickets in 9 matches. Ashwin started his IPL journey in 2009 with CSK and has since played in 221 matches, representing different franchises, and has taken 187 wickets.
