The Indian cricket team emerged victorious in the Asia Cup, defeating Pakistan by 5 wickets on September 28th, securing their ninth title win. Abhishek Sharma’s exceptional performance earned him the Player of the Tournament award. Sharma’s impressive tally of 314 runs over seven innings was a key factor in the team’s success. The prize for Sharma was a Haval H9 SUV.
The final match saw India triumph over Pakistan, with Tilak Varma’s score of 69 runs proving essential to the chase. The tournament concluded with a final-over boundary by Rinku Singh. India maintained an unblemished record throughout the tournament, achieving victory in all nine matches.
The Haval H9, produced by the Chinese automaker Great Wall Motors (GWM) through its Haval subsidiary, is a notable SUV globally. This model is driven by a 2.0L turbo petrol engine, which delivers about 214 hp and 380 Nm of peak torque. It features an 8-speed automatic transmission that enables a top speed of approximately 200 km/h and an estimated fuel economy of 9–12 km/l.
The SUV includes advanced safety systems (Level 2 ADAS) such as Traffic Sign Recognition, Rear Collision Warning, and Automatic Emergency Braking. The seven-seater interior is equipped with a 14.6-inch touchscreen, a 10-speaker audio system, a panoramic sunroof, and wireless charging. Despite Haval’s plans to introduce the H9 in India, where it is expected to be priced around Rs 40 lakh, the SUV is currently unavailable for purchase.
