Urban Administration Minister Dr Dahariya gives instructions to department officials
State Government has taken a major decision to prevent and control corona virus infection in the state. Service period of ‘Swachchta Commandos’ appointed in urban areas has been extended by two months. Urban Administration and Labour Minister Dr Shiv Kumar Dahariya has issued orders in the context to department officials on telephone.
Dr Dahariya informed on instructions of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, special cleanliness campaign is being conducted in all the urban bodies. For this, service period of Swachchta Commandos has been extended by two months.
In compliance to the orders issued, Urban Administration Department Officials has given instructions to Municipal Commissioners, Chief Municipal Officers of Municipal Councils and Nagar Panchayats, to extend the service period of Cleanliness Commando and to sanction funds for cleanliness from Corporators Funds. It is noteworthy that World Health Organization has declared corona virus as pandemic. In the wake of which, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has declared lockdown in all the urban bodies of the state as a preventive measure. He has especially emphasized on importance of cleanliness. In the same sequence, regular cleaning is being done as a campaign by Swachchta Commandos, Swachchta Didis, and officials-employees of Municipal Corporations, Municipal Councils, Nagar Panchayats.
