Self-employment for women’s group started meeting livelihood resource centerJuly 9, 2020
A livelihood resource center created by the convergence of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme has become a means of self-employment for women of Maa Mahamaya Self Help Group. In this center, the women of the group have opened canteen of Chhattisgarhi dishes, tea-snacks, food, whatever income comes from it is currently putting it in the canteen arrangements. So there is an action to give the hall built on the side of the canteen to set up stalls of products of different groups on the lines of Bihan Mart in the coming days.
The chairperson of the group, Mrs. Lalitha Giri, says that when she got the job to run a canteen in the district panchayat, her group was not happy. When they started work after getting a place in the District Panchayat campus, they started getting better livelihood from it. In the district panchayat, people will be able to get the taste of Chhattisgarhi cuisine Chila, Fara, Bada, Chausela like home. In addition, in the morning tea, breakfast and in the afternoon pulse, rice, puri vegetable roti as well as parcel facilities are also being provided. The group’s Sunita Yadav, Bhagwati Gautam, Santoshi Raj, Saraswati Raj, Shyam Bai, Reshammabai, Vedmati Raj, Saraswati Kashyap, Santoshi Kashyap, Sundar Bai Yadav, Budhwara Yadav, Anusuiya Raj, Geeta Raj show that men are dominant. We women groups have pledged to do that work together. All the women together are running the canteen well. The canteen is named Ayushi,

Chief Executive Officer, Shri Tirtharaj Aggarwal said that while Mahatma Gandhi NREGA is trying to provide employment to the people in the village itself in the midst of the global epidemic of Corona, on the other hand in times of such crisis Work is being done to increase their income by linking them to livelihood promotion activities. This is the reason that the District Panchayat was formed from the MNREGA campus. The National Rural Panchayat and Rural Development Department intends to open up avenues for the advancement of villagers and women from all schemes and link them to self-employment.
Bihan Mart will look like a hot market
A livelihood resource center was constructed with the convergence of MNREGA and 14th Finance. In this, Rs 4 lakh 31 thousand was sanctioned from MNREGA and Rs 5 thousand from 14th Finance. MGNREGA workers also got employment in this work. Two halls have been built in the resource center. NRLM branch in-charge Mr. Akash Singh said that at present Maa Mahamaya Self Help Group has been given a hall to run the canteen, in which the canteen is being operated, in the other recent lines of Bihan Mart (Hot Bazaar) But groups will be given. In which the production of organic manure, incense sticks, soap produced by the group, related to office files, decoration of houses etc. will be displayed by stalls. Common citizens will be able to come here and buy.
