Ayodhya, (Ramasharan Awasthi). The questions that arose over the grandeur of the proposed temple at Shri Ram’s birthplace came to an end. Keeping in mind the expectations of the devotees and saints, the design of the model of the temple has been finalized afresh, to which the Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust has also given the final seal. The temple will first become more grand under the new layout. It will have not five, but six sky-high peaks. If the heaviest crowd of devotees could get rum at the feet of the Lord, then the parkota would also be spread over about five acres. On 5 August, Prime Minister Narendra is reaching the Bhoomi Poojan of the temple. In such a situation, the trust has eliminated all doubts.

The preparations for the temple have intensified with the Supreme Judgment in favor of Ramlala on November 9 last year. With this, the most important questions began to arise on the grandeur of the temple proposed by Ramjanmabhoomi Nyas three decades ago. Some saints and devotees associated with the movement had a feeling that somewhere the grandeur of Ram temple is less than other temples…. Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, which came into existence on February 5 this year, also got involved in the churning. In the end, the Trust handed over the responsibility to the temple’s chief architect Chandrakant Sompura to explore the possibilities of increasing the grandeur of the temple.

After his nearly two months of hard work, he himself prepared a revised blueprint of the proposed temple with proper increase in size. This blueprint was not only presented at the meeting of the Teerth Kshetra Trust held at the local road house last Saturday, but it has also been stamped.

This will be the new temple

In the earlier proposed model, where the temple was proposed in less than an acre, after modification, its perkota will be expanded to an area of five acres. The first model had two sub-peaks including one main peak. After the size increase, the temple will now have five sub-peaks including one main peak.

New model

  • Of these, three sub-peaks will be in front of the main peak and two sub-peaks will be adjacent to the main peak.
  • The first proposed temple was of two floors. Now three floors have been combined in it.
  • The previously proposed temple also had 106 pillars on each floor, but the number of pillars in the temple has increased from 212 to 318 with one floor increase.
  • These pillars will be 14 to 16 feet high and eight feet in diameter. Each pillar will be equipped with 16 idols of Yakshi-Yakshanis.

Sanctuary will be on all three floors

While the statue of Ramlala will be installed in the sanctum sanctorum of the first floor of the proposed temple, Ram Darbar is to be installed in the sanctum sanctorum of the second floor. The sanctum sanctorum of the third floor is yet to be established as to which image of God will be installed in it, but it is believed that it will be enshrined in a statue of Lord Ram.

Understand grandeur like this

  • The new proposed temple will be 360 feet long and 235 feet wide. The construction of 161 feet high has been finalized.
  • The first was 268.5 feet in length, 140 feet in width and 128 feet in height.
  • The area is now 84 thousand 600 square feet. Earlier the total area was 37 thousand 590 square feet.
  • The temple has also undergone some changes with the rise of the summit. The first façade was Sinhgadwar, Nrityamandap, Rangmandap followed by the sanctum sanctorum. Now there will be an esoteric pavilion between the sanctum sanctorum and the Rangamandap. There will be separate kirtan and prayer pavilions on the right-left.

All four brothers will be sitting on the silver throne

The Deities of Bharata, Lakshmana and Shatrughan, including Ramlala, have been installed in an alternate sanctum till the grand temple is built on the Ramjanmabhoomi. On 25 March this year, before the establishment in the alternate sanctum, Ramlala was presented the throne with nine and a half kilos of silver by the member of the Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust and the head of Ayodhya royal family, but three other brothers of Ramlala on the wooden throne. He was seated. The head of the Raj family has now nominated the silver throne for all the brothers of Ramlala, who he is about to hand over to the trust soon in an auspicious time.
