Apart from technical training, financial assistance is also being provided by the Government of Chhattisgarh to fishermen farmers. By adopting new technology, fish farmers are able to make it a profitable business. Shri Ajit Ekka, a resident of Kanamora village of Jashpur development block, is making profit by farming fish today.
Dabri construction was done under MGNREGA on 0.100 hectare land of Shri Ekka. In addition to the District Mineral Trust Fund and the fisheries department, apart from improved seeds, they have also been given mesh and cephex grants. He told that in the year 2019-20, 150 kg fish have been removed from the pond. He has benefited about 30 thousand in a year by selling fish. Shri Ekka thanked the Chhattisgarh government and the district administration for this and said that with the help from the government, they have been successful today.
