Petrol reaches Rs 79 per liter for the 14th consecutive day

Petrol price increased by 51 paise and diesel by 61 paise, in 14 days petrol became costlier by Rs 7.62 and diesel by Rs 8.28.

Despite the softening of crude oil prices in the international market, the prices of petrol and diesel are increasing continuously in the domestic market. Domestic oil marketing companies raised their prices for the 14th consecutive day on Saturday. With this increase, the price of petrol in the capital Delhi has reached close to Rs 79 per liter.

According to Indian Oil Corporation, the country’s largest oil marketing company, the price of petrol in Delhi today increased by 51 paise to Rs 78.88 per liter. This is the highest level since 03 November 2018. With a 61 paise increase in the price of diesel, it reached a record 77.67 per liter. Petrol and diesel prices in the country have been increasing continuously since June 07. In these 14 days, petrol has become costlier by Rs 7.62 or 10.63 percent and diesel by Rs 8.28 or 11.93 percent.
