Only 500 devotees will be able to see every day: Amarnath Yatra

This time in the annual Amarnath Yatra, due to the corona, no more than 500 pilgrims will be allowed to visit the holy cave daily. Officials gave this information on Wednesday.
A high-level meeting was discussed at the Amarnath Cave Temple and Vaishnodevi Temple in Jammu and Kashmir regarding permission to pay obeisance to the devotees.

It was attended by Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kishan Reddy, Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office Jitendra Singh and senior officials of the Ministry of Home Affairs and Jammu and Kashmir Administration. The Amarnath Yatra may begin on July 21. An official said that the Pahalgam route is not yet clear due to snowfall and this year only the Baltal route can travel.

The official said that a final decision on the Amarnath Yatra could be taken next week. He said that in the case of Vaishnodevi temple, the entry of devotees to the temple has been banned till 31 July.
