HMD Global will be present at the upcoming MWC 2020 show next month in Barcelona. Just like the past two years, the company is expected to announce a series of smartphones at MWC this year as well. The upcoming lineup is expected to include a 5G model as confirmed at the Qualcomm summit back in December. Now, names of the Nokia phones that might be announced at MWC 2020 have surfaced online, courtesy Nokiamob.net citing sources. The list includes Nokia 1.3, Nokia 5.2, and Nokia 8.2 5G. However, the monikers aren’t final yet. The brand is also expected to announce a new series of Nokia phone at the event. It was previously reported that HMD Global had cancelled the Nokia 8.2 4G edition and will now launch its 5G variant instead.

The Nokia 8.2 5G is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 765G SoC which comes with an integrated 5G modem. The rear design of the handset is said to be similar to the Nokia 7.2. It could have a quad-camera setup at the back with a 64MP primary sensor in a circular module and a 32MP pop-up selfie camera. The Nokia 8.2 is expected to rock a pOLED or LCD display, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3,500mAh battery with fast-charging support. The Nokia 8.2 is said to cost EUR 459 (around Rs 36,100) for the base variant.
As for the Nokia 5.2, it is said to come with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage and another variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage but will be limited to a few countries. It’ll have a camera design similar to the Nokia 6.2 with 16MP primary sensor and an 8MP secondary snapper. The handset is tipped to be powered by the Snapdragon 632 SoC and sport a 6.2-inch LCD panel. The handset is said to be priced at EUR 169 (around Rs 13,300) for the base model. The Nokia 1.3 entry-level smartphone could come with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage, a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie snapper.
