Social media platform ‘X’, formerly known as Twitter, is planning to charge an annual fee from users. You read it right! Elon Musk’s company will no longer be free. According to a report, X has said that it is going to charge users a fee of $ 1 every year under a new subscription model. This fee will have to be paid for posting content, replying, likes and repost. The new subscription model has been named ‘Not A Bot’. Money will have to be paid for creating an account. Those who create a new account on Twitter will have to pay money. Users who do not pay will only be able to read the content. X argues that by doing this it wants to deal with bots and spammers. Money started being taken in these countries. It has been told on the support handle of X that testing of ‘Not a Bot’ has started in New Zealand and Philippines. It says that new, unverified accounts will be required to pay a fee of $1 per year to interact with tweets and other posts. However, this testing will not have any impact on existing users.
